Self discovery? Who am I really?
I’ve talked before about us being spiritual beings but on an individual level, who are we really? Most of the global population live from their ego-self or the mind-self totally unaware of their true identity. It isn’t until such time that the universe throws a spanner in the works and our personal life is in upheaval that we look for more. We are thrown challenges designed to push us to the point where we are dissatisfied with life. Where the financial, social, health and relationship challenges become too much for us to bear. This is where the ego-self with whom you’ve identified for most of your life no longer fulfils you. The material aspect of your life no longer satisfies you. You don’t feel complete. There is a strong sense of lack. This is where you are forced to look within for the answers that you seek.
When you look deeper within at your identify, at a soul level, you’ll see yourself in a completely different way. You’ll see life on a whole deeper level. Life takes on more meaning. This only you can do. It’s an individual journey. Through self-discovery you will come to realise who you truly are. This is something that cannot be learnt from a text book, as such; it unfolds over time and it is learnt and understood through experience. It comes with deeper levels of understanding. Through this process you’ll eventually see yourself as who you truly are. You’ll break free from the ego, the social status, career titles who once defined who you were. You’ll encounter the realisation that you are not that. You begin to identify with your soul, the being or essence that you are and comprehend that you are not separate from others but in fact one with them and God, the universe, source or which ever term you feel most comfortable with. When this happens for you it’s akin to coming home. You finally feel complete. In finding your true-self, you finally find that inner peace for which you’ve been searching. There is an inner sense of fulfilment for you now understand who you really are on a completely different level of understanding.
